Hello Sailfish families,

We are busy getting ready for another fun summer swim season.  To do this we still need to fill our vacant board positions.  It is a lot of fun and you get to help make summer swim team a memorable part of our kid's summer.  Please consider joining the board as treasurer or secretary.  If you think you might be able to help please let me know.  I, or any board members are happy to answer any questions.    The board position descriptions are below.

Treasurer

• Manage the team finances
• File all necessary forms for 1099 and e-postcard/990
• Pay all bills
• manage check requests for reimbursements
• balance bank account
• maintain financial records in quicken
• Work out concessions change/money before/after each meet / be in communication with concessions (June-July)
• Payroll / pay checks written and delivered to coaches (June-July)
• Collect and deposit cash at end of home meets; deposit next day (June-July)
• Attend board meetings and represent the team during meets as needed
• Work with the board to plan and support team parties/events

Secretary

• Take and record board meeting minutes and assign someone else to if you are not at the meeting
• Work with board to draft, and review contracts
• Maintain team website and documentation
• Maintain team calendar for practices, social events, meets, etc...
• Send out email communications to the team
• Maintain Mentor logs and produce letters at the end of the season
• Create and monitor signups for team activities
• Attend board meetings and represent the team during meets as needed
• Work with the board to plan and support team parties/events
