Thank You and Survey
Hello Sailfish families,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful rest of their summer. My boys enjoyed sleeping in a little more and some time away before its back to the routine of school. And now that we are all rejuvenated its back to closing out the 2025 swim team season.
Our last meet and end of season party were both interrupted by mother nature and I wanted to thank everyone for their flexibility and help as we had to leave the pool deck and pivot to the clubhouse for the awards. I know it was crowded and harder to hear and we were grateful that everyone stuck it out and we got to celebrate our swimmers. And a special thank you to Dr. Keriya Adem for the amazing video celebrating our 2025 season! It truly told a story of another fun summer swim season!
With our last home meet being rescheduled and then cut short we were never able to really honor our 7 seniors as they swam (or were ready to swim) their last meet of their summer swim career. Some of our seniors have been on the Sailfish since they were 5 years old and we are so lucky to have such amazing role models for our younger swimmers! We want to give a special shoutout to our seniors as they are now starting their college careers. Good luck and please come back and visit! Congratulations to Coach Ava Levin – University of San Diego, Coach Adam Markatos – College of William & Mary, Aaron VanTuyle – University of Richmond, Daniel Rosen – James Madison University, Cole Strickland – Purdue University, Ben Lebert – Virginia Tech and Liam Tansey – James Madison University!
I also wanted to thank all of you for all of your help and support during the season. It really does take a village and we have a great village of supportive parent volunteers. So many go above and beyond at the meets and are always offering to do more if needed – thank you! And a special shoutout to the Board and Auxiliary Board members, we could not have a team without all of their hard work and dedication. And finally thank you to our coaches! We are so grateful to have Coach Tasha as our head coach and Coach Drew, Coach Adam and Coach Ava supporting her and our team. They put in so many hours behind the scenes as well as on the pool deck in the heat, rain or whatever else came their way to make it a great season for our swimmers. Thank you coaches for another great summer!
And now the planning begins for next summer. We would really appreciate it if you could fill out this survey to help us better plan for next summer. All feedback is very much appreciated. Also, if anyone is interested in joining the board we will have open board positions so please either let us know on the survey or send me an email.
I hope everyone has a great school year and see you next
Summer!
