Weekly update

Hello Sailfish families,

Great job to all of those swimmers who were able to make time trials yesterday! I know we didn’t have a lot of practice time before this trial meet, so we will continue to work on and improve all of our strokes before the next one. Speaking of meets, all meets are open for declaration and our first official meet will be on Saturday, June 14 at Willowford North. The meet time will start at 8 AM. Our warm-up time will be 7:20 AM. Our theme is “Jersey Day”- wear your favorite sports/team jersey. Please declare your swimmer no later than Wednesday, June 11th by midnight. *Just a reminder, please stay the entire meet because we do have relays at the end. It’s really difficult for us to make last minute changes to the relay teams when people leave early. If you are not able to stay for relays, please make a note in the declaration.

Also, please remind your swimmer(s) to pick up after themselves. We are responsible for keeping our area clean, whether at our home pool or away.

A few reminders for weekly practices:

Please make sure your swimmers have a swim cap. You will get a cap as part of your registration, but until then, I need swimmers to have a swim cap. Also, please make sure your swimmers have goggles, and even a backup pair.

There is no practice this Friday, June 13, as it is the last day of school. Enjoy your day off! (But don’t forget to rest up for the swim meet the next morning!)
